In my practice, I embrace uncertainty push the material experimentation as a potential medium for expression and learning. I delve into traditional mediums such as painting, sculpting, drawing, growing plants, and cooking, seeking to transcend the boundaries that separate them. By understanding where they intersect, I gain deeper insights into the underlying principles of artistic expression
My work is meant to be experienced rather than deconstructed, much like a bicycle is intended for a journey rather than for disassembly. It invites absorption, akin to the song of a bird or the discovery of a new word, and creates a sense of wandering into a new, yet familiar space. The viewer is guided by the melody and emotion that colors carry with them and the poetry created by intrinsic meaning in objects and symbols. Through this journey, one may become more aware of the constraining barriers of our current notion of reality, recognizing the myriad unfolding experiences in which we are all entangled beyond what we can quantify.
Moreover, my interest extends beyond artistic disciplines to encompass various academic fields. Particularly philosophy, religion, anthropology, and psychology, which I spent most of my time studying while doing my academic studies. Through this interdisciplinary exploration, I try to understand my role as an artist and the process of meaning-making. I investigate our collective understanding of place, belief systems, and our participation in shaping the world we inhabit. This research process leads me to deeply question the constructed boundaries between ourselves and the environment. Through my works, I suggest a deeper reflection to embrace and make us aware of our interconnectedness with the world around us rather than a separate thing meant for us to control.
Ultimately, I challenge established norms of what art is meant to be through embracing play experimentation and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue to reimagine the boundaries of artistic expression and deepen our understanding of the human experience.
